Homemade Lemonade

A great beverage for picnics and parties, especially in the hot Singapore tropical climate.

Makes 2 medium glasses

Ingredients

  • 2 Lemons (gives around 150ml of juice)
  • 70g Caster Sugar
  • Ice Cubes (to serve)

Method

  1. Juice lemons.
  2. Combine lemon and sugar in a big container and stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour mixture into a large jug. Add around 250ml of water, stir well and chill. Serve over ice.

    YEP! That’s the way I used to make lemonade for my front-yard lemonade stand some 60 years ago in Houston, Texas (USA).

    Oh, and by the way, I sold my lemonade for 3 cents per glass to thirsty neighbors and passers-by.
